    Care Guidelines

    Marine Aquarium Setup:
The Bicolour Angelfish requires a tank of at least 200 liters, with ample live rock for grazing and hiding. Provide plenty of caves and crevices to mimic its natural habitat and reduce stress. While it is generally reef-safe with caution, it may nip at coral polyps, clams, or other invertebrates. Monitor its behavior closely if added to a reef setup.

    Water Parameters:

    • Temperature: 24°C – 27°C
    • pH Range: 8.1 – 8.4
    • Salinity: 1.023 – 1.025 SG
    • Water Hardness: 8 – 12 dKH

    Diet:
Bicolour Angelfish are omnivores and require a varied diet. Feed them a mix of marine algae, spirulina, and high-quality angelfish pellets or flakes. Supplement with live or frozen foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Feed 2–3 times daily in small portions to ensure their nutritional needs are met.

    Behavior and Compatibility:
This semi-aggressive species is best housed with other peaceful to moderately aggressive tankmates, such as tangs, clownfish, or wrasses. Avoid keeping them with overly aggressive fish or other dwarf angelfish, as territorial disputes may occur. Provide plenty of space and hiding spots to reduce aggression.

    Growth and Maintenance:

Bicolour Angelfish grow up to 15 cm and require stable water conditions and regular maintenance to thrive. Perform frequent water changes and maintain high water quality to ensure their health and vibrant coloration. Their active swimming and bold colors make them a standout addition to marine aquariums.
