    Care Guidelines

    Aquarium Setup:
A soft, sandy substrate is ideal to protect their delicate barbels. Provide a well-planted tank with hiding spots such as driftwood, rocks, or caves. A minimum tank size of 75 liters (20 gallons) is recommended. They prefer a gentle water flow and a well-oxygenated environment.

    Water Parameters:

    • Temperature: 22°C – 26°C (72°F – 79°F)
    • pH Range: 6.0 – 7.5
    • Water Hardness: Soft to moderate (2–12 dGH)

    Diet:
Three-Lined Corydoras are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet of sinking pellets, wafers, frozen foods (bloodworms, daphnia, brine shrimp), and occasional blanched vegetables. They will also scavenge for leftover food but should be supplemented with quality sinking foods.

    Behaviour and Compatibility:
These Corydoras are highly social and should be kept in groups of at least 5-6 to thrive. They are peaceful and do well with other non-aggressive fish, including tetras, rasboras, gouramis, and other community fish. Avoid aggressive species that may bully them.

    Growth and Maintenance:

These fish stay relatively small but require clean water conditions. Weekly water changes and a strong but gentle filtration system are essential for their health. They are known for their playful behavior, often seen darting to the surface for a quick gulp of air.
