It is an in-water treatment that safely and effectively clears infection within 7 days.Coccidiosis is a parasitic disease of the intestinal tract of birds caused by a protoan parasite known as Coccidia. Protozoa are transmitted through the faeces, where they can remain dormant in the environment for up to 12 months. During hot, damp conditions the protozoa become active and infect birds when ingested.
Coccidiosis can result in nutrient malabsorption, dehydration, and blood loss, and make the bird susceptible to secondary infections.
Coccivet is a safe and effective Coccidiosis treatment for use in pigeons and ornamental birds. With a dual active formulation Coccivet safely and efficiently clears infection over a 7-day course of treatment.
Coccivet has much better activity against parasites than sulphur treatments and may be prepared as a flock dose for large numbers of birds or singular and small aviary dose. When treating for coccidiosis it is important to thoroughly clean all aviaries and environments, using a disinfectant such as Vetafarm Avicare, at the same time to help prevent reinfection.RESTRAINTS: NOT TO BE USED in food producing species of animals.

Vetafarm Spark Liquid
Vendor:VetafarmRegular price From $19.99Regular priceUnit price / perA shot of electrolytes can be a life saver if your pet is sick or has heat stress.
Spark Liquid provides hydration and quick recovery with its specifically designed electrolyte formula. Spark Liquid is the perfect support in times of hot temperatures, illness, stress and transport.Spark Liquid, formulated by veterinarians, is a fast and effective energy and electrolyte source to ensure optimum results for rehydration, replenishment and recovery.
An essential tool in times of extreme temperature, as a first aid supplement for sick, stressed or injured birds, and is also an invaluable tool for birds in transport or on show.
Why do we recommend Spark Liquid?
During times of heat stress (e.g. birds have their wings out, are mouth-breathing and are down on the ground) birds are undergoing changes in their body chemistry. Their blood pH is altering, their sodium and potassium levels are out of kilter and their fluid balance is incorrect. While we struggle to control the temperature, we must also help the birds return to normal as soon as possible – this is why we use electrolytes!
When we are talking about electrolytes - it is balance that is key. Not only do all body cells require electrolytes to function correctly, they require certain amounts of each type of electrolyte.
Along with the supplementation of electrolytes, Vetafarm Spark Liquid also includes vital carbohydrates that will greatly improve the recovery from stress, travelling, illness, and, of course, heat.

Use Nectar Shake 'N' Make as a treat for captive lorikeets, lories & honeyeaters. Do not overfeed as this is wasteful and may cause obesity in captive birds. Birds should be offered fresh fruit and blossom daily.
Supplementing Wild Birds
Wombaroo Nectar Shake 'N' Make can be used as a supplement for attracting native birds into the garden. Set up an elevated feeding station on a pole or suspended from the branch of a tree. Provide the prepared food in a shallow, glazed bowl or feeding tube. Ration daily feed to no more than 10mL per lorikeet or 5mL per honeyeater. Always limit the amount of food offered to reduce dependence on the food. Remove the bowl after feeding and thoroughly clean it - disease transmission can be a problem at feed stations. Be aware that when you attract birds into your garden you may also be attracting predators, so steps may need to be taken to avoid this problem.
For larger volumes
If feeding larger volumes use the Wombaroo Lorikeet & Honeyeater Food, as this is available in more cost effective bulk sizes and made up at a higher concentration. This product also comes with suggested maintenance feed volumes per day.
