Care Guidelines:

• Aquarium Setup: A minimum tank size of 473 liters (125 gallons) is recommended to accommodate the active swimming behavior of the Threadfin Butterflyfish. The aquarium should be aquascaped with ample live rock formations to provide hiding spots, mimicking their natural reef habitat. It's important to note that this species is not reef-safe, as it may nip at corals and invertebrates.

• Feeding: As an omnivore, the Threadfin Butterflyfish thrives on a varied diet. Offer a mix of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, crustacean flesh, and frozen marine preparations, supplemented with plant matter like spirulina and nori. Adults should be fed twice daily, while juveniles benefit from more frequent feedings, up to four times per day.

• Compatibility: This species exhibits a generally peaceful temperament but may display aggression towards conspecifics or similarly colored fish. Suitable tank mates include smaller, non-aggressive species like gobies, dartfish, and fairy wrasses.
